Location

The Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy is located at 45299 Research Place, Ashburn, VA 20147, near the Dulles Airport and Leesburg, VA areas. It can be easily accessed from Virginia Interstates 95, 395, 495 and Route 66 as well as major state roads such as Routes 7, 28, 29 and 50.

Located within a five-mile radius are hotels, restaurants and shopping. Although the Academy does not have residences on its campus, some of the nearby hotels do offer efficiencies and temporary living quarters. Please see below for Directions and a list of Hotels.

Directions

South from Maryland: From either MD Route 95 (exit 27) or 270 (exit 2), enter the beltway (495) proceeding to the Virginia side. Proceed to the Dulles Toll Road (exit 45). From Rte 70/270, exit is off the right side of 495...from Rte 95 & Wilson Bridge, exit is off the left side. Proceed West on the toll road to Sully Rd./Rte. 28. Travel North on Rte. 28 for approx. 5-6 miles, bearing left onto Rte. 7 West. Stay in right lane. Turn right at first traffic light onto George Washington Blvd. Make next right onto Research Place. Follow down the hill to brick building. Receptionist is on 2nd floor.

West from Maryland: From MD Rte. 295 (exit 22) or Rte. 50 (exit 19), enter beltway and proceed toward Wilson Bridge. Cross Wilson Bridge and enter into Virginia. Proceed West on 495 and take the Dulles Toll Road (exit 45). Follow previous directions.

North from Virginia: Travel North on Rte. 95/495, enter beltway (exit 4) and proceed toward Tysons Corner area. Take the Dulles Toll Road (exit 45). Follow previous directions.

North from Virginia (Alternate): North on Rte. 95/495, enter beltway (exit 4) and proceed West toward Tysons Corner area. Exit at Tysons Corner/Rte.7 (exit 10). Take Rte. 7 West toward Leesburg. Travel approx. 13-15 miles. You will pass Dranesville, Sterling, Cascades and will go under the Sully Rd./Rte. 28 overpass. Take next right at light onto George Washington Blvd. Follow previous directions.

South from West Virginia: South on Rte. 81 into Virginia to Rte. 66 East. Travel East on Rte. 66 to Sully Rd./Rte. 28. Follow Rte. 28 North to Rte. 7 West. Follow previous directions.

North from West Virginia: North on Rte. 81 into Virginia to Rte. 66 East. Follow previous directions.

North from Tidewater area: West on Rte. 64 to 95/295 proceeding North. Follow previous directions.

North from North Carolina: North on NC Rte. 85 or 95/295 into Virginia. Follow previous directions.
