Service Description

Sexual assault is a crime that any person can fall victim to. To appropriately respond to allegations of sexual assault, a police officer must understand how the trauma affects a victim of sexual assault, how to interview the victim in a non-confrontational manner, and the dynamics of a sexual assault investigation. Upon completion of this course, officers will have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond to sexual assault investigations in a sensitive and compassionate way that will help aid the investigative process.
