This course discusses the history of American Neo-Nazism and its deep roots in Northern Virginia. It builds upon this foundation and discusses the evolution of various white supremacist groups, white nationalists and the threat posed by modern accelerationists. Special emphasis will be placed by the emerging “764” occult accelerationist and Nihilistic Violent Extremist (NVE) threats. Associates of this worldwide group typically target young, vulnerable children and adults which they meet on various online social media and gaming platforms. They have committed various crimes to include extortion, production and sharing of Child Sexual Assault Material (CSAM), animal abuse, swatting/doxing, assault and murder among others. In many cases, perpetrators of these offenses may actually be victims themselves who are directed to commit certain acts or get extorted by other members of 764. Therefore, it is imperative that officers and investigators recognize the signs of 764 related activity in order to fully understand the scope of the crime. Case studies local to Northern Virginia will highlight the proximity of this threat to our communities. Much of the presentation will include documents, screen captures and videos derived from adherents of these ideologies themselves, obtained via open-source social media posts and other methods.
