This one-day instructor development course is operated as an in-person format where open discussion, feedback, and inquiry is encouraged throughout. Topics include the evolution of adult learning in society today and foundational strategies that can help instructors make strong personal connections in a technology driven world. The emerging concepts within presentation design and delivery will be brought forth, where students will be encouraged to challenge previously held assertions with new possibilities. Strong emphasis will be placed on communication skills in the adult learning environment with specific correlation to the leadership role the instructor plays in the learning environment. Students will be challenged to seek positive change in themselves and their environments utilizing the concepts presented during this course.

Instructor

James Kingman is the President of Integrity Solutions Group, LLC and a 20-year public safety veteran. He has traveled extensively to present in various topic areas such as High Threat Integrated Operations, Tactical Emergency Casualty Care, Patrol Tactics, Chemical Agents, Fire as a Weapon, Arson Investigation, Instructor Development, Courtroom Testimony, and Public Speaking.

While his career has offered an array of instructional opportunities, he is most passionate about the professional development of his fellow public safety instructors. After three years leading the General Instructor program at the regional level, he moved instructor development forward through the development of advanced courses for Public Speaking, Presentation Design, and Presentation Skills. Mr. Kingman has a limitless passion for taking public safety instruction to the next level by encouraging a better understanding of neuroscience and what that comprehension can offer. His advanced instructor development courses demand a shift from cliché to audacious through new concepts and design approaches focused on learner engagement, recognition, and content retention.
