About the course
This 2 day course provides students with an understanding of how the most current social networking sites work and the steps to integrate this information into their criminal investigation. This course will also provide the tools and techniques to gather information from open source sites to help in connecting an investigator to these social networks.
Instruction
• Become familiar with the latest open source sites to include PIPL, Spokeo, Google, and the techniques used to gather information from these sites.
• Be familiar with the operation of the largest sites, to include: Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram and the legal process to obtain information within these sites.
• Understand how criminal organizations use online social networks to identify and recruit potential victims.
• Learn how to identify real-life intelligence targets by building undercover social media sites.
