About the course
Target audience: Newly promoted first line supervisors and/or those officers expecting to be promoted
Note: As a part of this course the third day will include an off-campus trip to Gettysburg.
The First Line Supervisor is essential to the operations of any organization. This course has been developed to aid newly promoted or those that may be promoted to First Line Supervisor understand the role they play in the day-to-day operations and how to avoid some of the pitfalls that may come along. The course utilizes numerous instructors to provide a broad range of experience and expertise.
Topics of discussion include but are not limited to:
• Expectations of the First Line Supervisor
• Incident Command
• The role of the First Line Supervisor in Administrative Investigations
• Lessons in Leadership from a historical perspective
